MALAWI: Board Gets Condom Testing Machine

The Daily Times reported 14 January on a new condom testing machine acquired by the Pharmacy, Medicines and Poisons Board, to ensure that condoms and rubber gloves coming into Malawi meet international specifications. UNFPA is among the agencies supplying condoms in Malawi.

LEBANON: Results of Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Assessment to Be Announced

Al Bawaba reported 14 January that the results of the “Assessment for Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV linkages in Lebanon” were to be presented 14 January. The assessment study was based on a collaborative effort between the Rafic Hariri School of Nursing, AUB, and UNFPA, National AIDS Prevention Program, and the Ministry of Public Health. This assessment falls within a global initiative supported by UNFPA in several countries and aims at investigating HIV and sexual reproductive health linkages at the policy, systems, and service delivery levels.
