TAJIKISTAN: HIV Express Kits Delivered

Khovar on 13 July reported that UNFPA Tajikistan supported the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan with a supply of HIV express tests. According to the specialists, HIV express tests will lower the chance of HIV transmission from mother to child during pregnancy, labour and delivery. 144,000 HIV express tests were supplied to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan. CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE: UNFPA Donates to Health Ministry

La Semaine africaine and Congo-site reported on 13 July on a donation of medical equipments and reproductive health products made by UNFPA Representative, David Lawson, to Health Minister Professor George Moyen. Mr. Lawson outlined the need to continue the efforts to reduce maternal mortality through enhancing family planning.
