GHANA: National Zakat House Project Launched
Ghana News Agency reported on 8 September that national Muslim organizations in Ghana, with UNFPA, will launch a programme in Accra in support of a National Zakat House project, to support the reduction of maternal mortality. Abdel-Manan Abdel-Rahman, an organiser with the Coalition of Muslim Organisations said the Zakat House seeks to provide opportunities and training to poor women to enable them generate income, provide training for skills formation and entrepreneurship development.
