LATIN AMERICA: AIDS Moves toward Youth and Women in Central America
Univision, Nuestro País and La Prensa (Honduras) reported 24 - 26 February that, with the AIDS epidemic shifting rapidly toward younger people and women in Central America, the VI Central American Congress on STI / HIV / AIDS (CONCASIDA) was to be held in Costa Rica from 1 to 5 March. The emphasis of this conference will be on the relationship between the HIV, AIDS and youth, said Patricia Salgado, assistant representative of UNFPA, one of the agencies involved in organizing the event.
