LEBANON: Celebrities’ call to Youth: “Let’s talk about HIV/AIDS”

Time Out Magazine, and Future TV reported on 22 and 23 November on the launching of the “Let’s Talk” Campaign in Lebanon implemented with the participation of celebrities Nadine Njeim (Actress), Mashrou’ Leila (Musical Band), and Ronin&Nesta (DJs). The articles feature the campaign’s billboards and statistics about HIV/AIDS among youth in Lebanon. The “Let’s Talk” Campaign aims to raise HIV/AIDS awareness among young people and includes a set of activities, notably a national media campaign involving celebrities (billboards, TV spots, leaflets and a concert) and implemented in areas surrounding selected public schools and universities across the Lebanese territory. The campaign also includes capacity development workshops for young people to advocate more efficiently for their SRH rights. The “Let’s Talk” Campaign is implemented by UNFPA and the Y-PEER network, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, the National AIDS Control Programme at the Ministry of Public Health, and the Masar Association, a local NGO. It is funded by H&M the international fashion retailer and UNFPA. Read in English: Time Out Magazine
