PARAGUAY: Youth Initiate Sex Early

E´a.com reported on 2 December on the presentation of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Study in Adolescents and Young and remarked that "the study focuses on issues such as sexual initiation, contraception, pregnancy and gender violence," according to Karen Rivas, Vice President of the Board of Paraguayan Center for Population Studies (CEPEP) during the launch of the publication, which participated the Vice Minister of Health, Dr. Raquel Escobar Argaña.
Manuelita Escobar, Assistant Representative of UNFPA, said that having quality and relevant data on sexual and reproductive health of adolescents is of high value, considering that youth make up such a large portion of the population. She also noted that this is a mandate issue for UNFPA. Read in Spanish: E´a.com.
