SIERRA LEONE: TBA Training Programme Held

Concord Times on 11 June reported on a UNFPA training programme in the Pujehun district for traditional birth attendants (TBAs). The programme, a six-day training on community advocacy skills for effective monitoring and sensitization on HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, maternal complications and prevention, targeted TBAs from the 12 chiefdoms in the district. UNFPA Deputy Assistant Country Representative Isatu Kajue and UNFPA Reproductive Health Manager Dr. Jaria Kabba Kebay are both mentioned in the article.
