SIERRA LEONE: Repositioning Gender
Concord Times on 28 June reported that UNFPA, with the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children's Affairs, and in partnership with Fambul Initiative Network for Equality (FINE-SL), "concluded a three-day policy dialogue and capacity-building programme for traditional and religious leaders, and youth in the 13 chiefdoms in Bombali district to change the perception of gender equality in their communities." Isatu Kajue, acting Deputy Representative of UNFPA, is mentioned in the article as describing her organization as a developmental agency that promotes sexual amd reproductive health and reproductive rights "because they believe in the concept of every one counts."
