CAMEROON: Unwanted Pregnacies – 61 Percent of Women at Risk

Cameroon Tribune reported on 3 July  on the recent study released by the Guttmacher Institute and UNFPA. According to UNFPA Representative, Alain Sibenaler, 61 percent of women in Cameroon  are likely to have unwanted pregnacies if they do not use contraceptives methods. He added that the 2004 Demographic and Health Survey shows that a total of 22.1 per cent of pregnancies in absolute terms were either mistimed (17.4 per cent) or unwanted (4.7 percent).
