BELARUS: Anti-Tobacco Campaign Launched

naviny on 12 November reported that Belarus launched an informational anti-tobacco campaign. The campaign’s motto is "Give yourself a clean light" and will continue in the country until 15 November, the World Day of Non-smoking. Sergey Shcherbov, head of the Vienna Institute of Demography’s research group on dynamics and population projects at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and international expert from the UNFPA said, “The increase in the proportion of women smokers in Europe is related to the reduced the gap between the life expectancy of men and women.” Read in Russian: naviny
