MYANMAR: Census Project Launched
The Myanmar Times on 24 December reported on the launch of the country's first official census in thirty years. The event was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Immigration and Population and the UNFPA. UNFPA Representative Mr. Abdel-Ahad, at the event, highlighted the importance of a mutual commitment by the government and international development partners for the success of the census.
