Khabar on 6 June reported that the Central Asia Parliamentary Conference on Youth Policy was held in Almaty on 6-7 June. Youth issues were discussed at the high-level, while health, housing and employment were defined as the primary targets by members of the conference. Nikolai Botev, Director of UNFPA Sub-Regional office for Central Asia said, “Investing in the education and health of girls and young women has a strong multiplier effect.
