UGANDA: Teen Pregnancy Rampant in Teso

New Vision on 15 August reported that teen pregnancy is rampant in the Teso sub-region. Cecile Compaore, the UNFPA representative, said that in Uganda, one in four girls between the ages of 15 and 19 has had a child or is pregnant. The risks teens face during pregnancy, according the UNFPA rep, include abortions, which are, many times, unsafe.
