UKRAINE: Police Learn Communication Techniques for Dealing With Elderly

Glavcom.ua on 11 October reported that UNFPA in Ukraine will develop a pilot training programme for the Ukrainian police to teach specific communication skills for working with the elderly. "We understand the importance of police inspectors and we want to teach them the specifics of communication with the elderly, for law enforcement agencies to better understand their needs" said UNFPA Representative in Ukraine Nuzhat Ehsan. The programme will be developed based on the experience of several countries, but in the near future will be adapted to the Ukrainian realities. Read in Russian: Glavcom.ua
