BANGLADESH: Government To Enact New Law On Domestic Violence, Says Minister Sahara

NNN-BSS reported 10 December that Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun said the government is actively considering enacting a new law for controlling domestic violence. Quoting a survey report conducted by UNFPA in Bangladesh and other South Asian countries, the Home Minister said that one in every two women is victim of domestic violence. Read: NNN-BSS
