GLOBAL: CONTINUING COVERAGE ON 16 DAYS CAMPAIGN
KYRGYZSTAN: Barakelde reported on 8 November that UNFPA organized a training of trainers for young leaders from the southern provinces of Kyrgyzstan on how to use new technologies in the prevention of gender-based violence among young people. In the course of the training young people learned about gender-based violence, its forms and consequences. During the training youth leaders will meet with UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan Neal Walker and discuss the role of youth in the prevention of gender-based violence. They also gained practical skills in using photo and video technologies in the prevention of gender-based violence. Materials prepared by participants will be exhibited during 16-days Against Violence Campaign events. Read in Russian: Barakelde
