The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia: Sexual Health Counseling Centres Open
Kurir, Vesti and Vecer reported on 26 November that sexual health counseling services for young people, supported by UNFPA, have been opened within public health centers in 19 cities in our country. Ministers of Health and Education and Science Bujar Omsani and Nikola Todorov, together with UNFPA NPO Tatjana Shikoska, in the secondary school Nikola Karev promoted the education media campaign “Ask Away - There is a Place.” “We are talking about a level of behavior among the young people, who do not recognize how much these situations are dangerous and later have repercussions on their whole life. But, there is another more worrying situation - many parents are not ready to recognize this and to advise their children”, said Tatjana Sikovska, UNFPA national coordinator.
