BANGLADESH: Challenges Remain In Family Planning Despite Much Success
The Daily Independent reported on 14 April that pointing many successes in family planning and the population sector particularly in reducing maternal and child mortality, but still there are many challenges remain to achieve the MDG, said the health secretary, Humayun Kabir, at a workshop. He requested that UNFPA give special attention to underperforming districts and divisions including slums and costal belt districts and upazelas with special messages and materials during the family planning national campaign. He was speaking at the national level stakeholders meeting held at the conference room of the Directorate of Family Planning to share the draft proposal of the national FP campaign which includes campaign outline, logo, slogan and estimated cost.
