OCCUPIED PALESTINIAN TERRITORY: UNFPA and Ibn Sina Midwifery College Organize National Midwifery Conference

Al-Quds reported on 9 June on a UNFPA-supported National Midwifery Conference entitled “Towards Unifying Midwifery Curriculum.” H.E. Dr. Fathi Abou Moghli, Minister of Health, assured the Ministry’s full support to midwifery in Palestine, while stressing the provision of all means and requirements that are necessary for unifying midwifery curriculum. “It is important to find efficient midwives, and standardize the midwifery curriculum in all universities and colleagues in line with the scientific and practical developments, and in parallel with the global curriculum” said UNFPA Representative Barbara Piazza-Georgi. “Good health is the right of every woman, pregnant woman, during her pregnancy and while delivering her child.” Read in Arabic: Al Quds
