GUINEA-CONAKRY: Guinean Women’s Council to Address Gender-Based Violence

Guinee News reported on 6 July that UNFPA supports the establishment of the Guinean Women’s Council in five regions. This structure will provide a framework for dialogue and action for women and should play an important role in their empowerment and their participation in decision-making. It will also play a catalyst role in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) and peace building. Read in French: Guinee News
