BELARUS: Today, It’s About the Right of Families to Choose

Pda.sb.by on 30 November reported that according to Tatiana Haplichnik, program coordinator of UNFPA in Belarus, today, the problem is not about how “many or little "children in the family, but the right of families to choose how much, when and how.” According to the WHO’s definition, the term "family planning" refers to the ability to avoid unwanted pregnancy, to give birth to children desired, adjust the interval between pregnancies, control the timing of births according to the age of the parents and to determine the number of children in the family.
