PARAGUAY: Strengthening a Basic tool for Construction of Peace with Gender Perspective

Amamabaydigital and Radio Ñanduti mentioned on 4 July that a pilot training workshop on gender and security was held on 17 June. The activity aimed to implement Resolution 1325 of the Security Council of the United Nations and was organized by the Ministry of Women, UNFPA, ONUMUJERES, and ECLAC. Mirtha Rivarola, gender and youth officer spoke for Manuelita Escobar Argana, assistant representative of UNFPA, saying " The gender-based violence occurs more frequently where there is poverty and social instability, for example, in situations of conflict and humanitarian emergencies.
