BELARUS: Boys Must Be Raised to Respect Women

Multiple media outlets on 14 August reported that the Belarusian Miss Universe contestant for 2013, Svetlana Kuznetsova, in collaboration with UNFPA, produced a report on the achievements of Belarus on the issue of violence against women. Kuznetsova wants to show the women of the world that life does not end with the birth of children and that it is possible to combine work and family, while remaining beautiful, loved and cherished. "But the most important thing is to teach our children, especially boys, to respect women” she said. “Children see the attitude of the parents in the family, make a model of behavior and then duplicate it as adults.” Read in Russian: Dengi, Mvolna, Belta, News21, KP, Old Zviazda
