SWAZILAND: 100 Girls Prepared for Workplace Shadowing

The Swazi Observer on 24 September reported that the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (Gender & Family Issues Unit), with support from UNFPA, NERCHA, the Ministry of Education & Training and the NGO Gender Consortium, conducted an orientation for the Girl Child Workplace Initiative, an initiative that is part of the build-up to the International of the Girl Child Commemoration 2013, which is celebrated annually on 11 October. The Girl Child work placements will be conducted on 26 September. The theme for the International Day of the Girl Child 2013 is “Innovating for Girls Education.”
