PARAGUAY: Youth Demand Right to Information

La Nación reported on 27 September that during the Fair for the Right to Information on Sexuality, Walter Morínigo of Presencia Joven, an organization of the city of Encarnación, indicated that adolescents and youth require the State comply with the right they have to receive information about sexuality, to avoid further increasing unwanted pregnancies in adolescence, the transmission of HIV and violence towards them. This event took place in remembrance of the World Day for Prevention of Unplanned Pregnancy in Adolescents, and was organized by the youth groups Somos Pytyvôháras en Derechos Sexuales y Reproductive and Presencia Joven, with the support of BECA, Kuña Róga and UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund.
