UGANDA: Refugee Children Miss Out on School

The Observer on 27 October published a story on the Congolese refugee children in Rwamwanja camps who are dropping out of school because of unfamiliar teaching methods and language issues. The education strategy of UNHCR stresses the important role of access for refugee and asylum-seeker children to adequate education opportunities. The article talks about the UNFPA-supported youth corners and training of peer educators and quotes UNFPA's Peninah Kyoyagala. The picture in the article clearly shows UNFPA t shirts and armbands for young people. Read in English: The Observer
