SENEGAL: Advocating for Family Planning

The Senegalese Press Agency (APS) on 2 November reported on an family planning advocacy workshop for parliamentarians, organized by UNFPA Sénégal. The parliamentarians committed to supporting advocacy for the implementation of the Family Planning Action Plan which aims to raise the prevalence rate from 12% to 27% by 2015. The Resident Representative, M. Boureima Diadié, focused on the role of parliamentarians to promote family planning and mobilize resources for the implementation of family planning programs.
